Mooresville – Phyllis Rose Parker, age 76, peacefully passed away on Christmas Eve, Thursday, December 24, 2020.

Phyllis was born April 3, 1944 in Cumberland County, Tennessee to the late Roy Lee Rose, Sr. and the late Edna Barnes Rose. She had resided in Mooresville, North Carolina most of her life and had been employed as a waitress for many dedicated years. Phyllis always made family and friends feel welcome to her home and she was indeed an amazing cook, preparing delicious meals that everyone enjoyed. Phyllis also enjoyed working in her yard among her beautiful flowers and her special love for “Buddy” the dog which belonged to her son and daughter-in-law will be remembered by all of her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy and the precious memory that they have of her will be cherished forever.  She was a blessing in our lives. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Earl Parker who passed away in 2017; and her brothers, Shelly, J. D., Boyd, and R. L. Rose, Jr.

Surviving are her son, Michael Parker and his wife Jackie of Mooresville; grandchildren, Amber Laney and her husband Ryan of Mooresville, and Matthew Linker and his wife Whitney of China Grove; great-grandchildren, Slade Linker, Ayva Laney, London Linker, and Nicklaus Laney; a brother, Olney Rose of Crossville, TN; sisters, Brenda Shephard of Baltimore, MD, and Aileen Rose of Milton, TN; and sister-in-law, Joy Rose of Crossville, TN.

A gathering of family and friends to remember and celebrate the life of Mrs. Parker will be held in the chapel of Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 2, 2021. Burial will follow at Crawford / Ray Memorial Gardens in Clyde.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Parker’s memory to the National Kidney Foundation at 30 East 33rd Street New York, NY 10016, or to the Cancer Research Institute at 29 Broadway, Floor 4 New York, NY 10006-3111, or to your local humane society.
