My wonderful friend that I loved and respected very much. He was always so caring and concerned for people because He loved His Saviour for sure. I loved to hear Him preach the Gospel of,Jesus Christ and He did it well in love for his hearers. He had a lot of love to give and He gave it too because he was a true man of God. I truly believe I will see my friend again one day in Heaven and we,re going to walk on the streets of gold and worship the Good Lord forever like we used to talk about many times. Brother RG and Brother Mark Tice joined me and my wife in Holy Matrimony in October, 2013. Brother RG was so happy for us and Mark too. He was a great family man and had a precious wonderful family that loved Him very much I'm sure. I'm glad you made it home my Brother and look for me one day and we,'ll have a nice forever together with all the others there too. Your work on earth is done so enjoy what the Good Lord has for you. See you one day my friend. Brother Jerry and Connie.

My thoughts and prayers are for you and your family in this time of need. This news brought tears to my eyes and a pain in my heart. I can’t express in words what are great man he was. I had never met a man before, or since, who truly lived his convictions and dedication to the word of God. I’ve always held him in high esteem as one of the finest men I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He not only greatly influenced my life, and those of my family, but of any who crossed his path and took the time to listen. He had wisdom beyond his years and was a bright beacon of God and his word. He taught me all the things in my youth that my faith is based on to this day. I have personally watched in awe as he brought many to Christ with his Godly demeanor and unique approach to preaching the gospel. Grown men brought to tears and weeping on their knees at the alter after hearing the word of God and feeling the convictions of heart from his sermon. When he spoke, you could hear and feel the power of the word and that he truly believed and lived every one. His guide for these sermons, and his life, was the Bible, nothing more, nothing less. He was truly a man of God who will be sorely missed by many he has touched here on earth but the heavens have gained a shining star. A true beacon for Christ. It is impossible to imagine the just rewards he must be reaping for his time and testament to others here. I will never forget him. I will always be thankful to him for teaching me to let faith and the word of God be my guide. That has shown me the path countless times in my life. Rest In Peace R.G. Garland.

Bonita & Steve, Our condolences during your time of grief. I met your Dad only one time but in that brief conversation with him I was greatly inspired to continue to live the Christian life. He brought such great encouragement to me and I shared with Martha his spiritual thoughts. You could see Jesus in his face. God bless you as your Dad has now graduated to the Church Triumphant and is now a member of that Great Cloud of Witnesses. Curran & Martha Welch

RG was one of the most important people in my entire life, and that had the biggest impact on my life. I owe so much to him. Without him, I would have been a different person, and might never have gained the faith, hope, and understanding that I have today. I've never seen a more loving person and faithful servant to God. I'm truly saddened by his departure from earth, but at the same time so happy for his entry into glory. I thank God for having allowed me to know him.
