Candler – Riley Clark, age 86, went to be with his Lord, Saturday, April 11, 2015. A native of Haywood County, Mr. Riley had resided in Buncombe County most of his life. He was the son of the late Tranis Clark and the late Elsie King Clark. He retired with over 32 years of dedicated service with the NC State Department of Transportation. Riley enjoyed working in his yard and spending time outdoors. He loved all his family deeply, especially his precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Riley’s memory will be cherished forever. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, one sister and his grandson, Howard. Surviving are his loving wife of 65 years, Maxine Moore Clark; daughters, Bronsalea Jones of Candler and Oneida Johnson of Chambersburg, PA; a brother, Oliver Clark of Candler; grandchildren, Alan and his wife, Shawna, Jeremy, Dan and Yvonne and great-grandchildren, Jada, Kinzley and Nicole. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm. Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Luther Pentecostal Holiness Church in Candler. Pastor Betty Drake and Pastor Heath Davis will be officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgeway Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night at Crawford / Ray Funeral Home in Canton.
