Condolences from family and friends

The lord has received one heck of a man and the last of a dying breed. This man was truly a family man and one of the last of the mountain men. He knew the old ways. I am honored to have called him my uncle as well as a friend. I love ya uncle rod and I am forever grateful for all you showed me and all the stories you have told. You have done your time on this earth and GOD has called you home for reasons we don't understand. God has a plan and it's not for us to understand. Rod has always helped people and done all he can for people. Rod, I love you buddy. I will see you again.

Loved this man so dearly. Though I knew him only through Facebook, I learned what an amazing man he was, how much he loved family, life, the farm and the freedom of riding his bike. He became like a brother to me. His loss has left a huge whole in my heart. Prayers for his family to find the way through the pain of his loss.
