Truly a Good Man

Photo of Ronnie Dale Haas - 1964-2021

Waynesville- Ronnie Dale Haas, age 57, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 17, 2021 and entered into his glorious Heavenly home.

Dale was born June 9, 1964 in Gastonia, North Carolina to the late Ronnie Hugh Haas and the late Martha Ann Boyter Haas. He had made his home in Haywood County among the mountains that he loved for the past 16 years. Dale had honorably served his country in the United States Army and was a proud veteran. He had been employed with Springdale Country Club for 10 dedicated years and everyone who knew Dale was amazed at his strong work ethic and it was very evident that he loved his work.  He enjoyed going to auctions and he was indeed an avid race car fan, which included NASCAR and also dirt track racing. Dale was a man with a big heart, he never met a stranger, he was always smiling and he was loved by everyone that knew him. He loved his family with all his heart and in the words of his beloved LaDonna, “He was my knight in shining armor.” Our hearts are broken that Dale has left us so soon but he will remain in our hearts forever.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Teelena Huffman who passed away in January 2021.

He is survived by his fiancée  and the love of his life,  LaDonna Huffman Sparks of  Waynesville ; his daughter, Kata Norris and her husband, Dakota Norris of Clyde; his grandson, Xavier Norris; his father-in-law, Donnie Huffman of Clyde and a multitude of friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday,  June 26, 2021 in the chapel of Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 3:00 until 4:00 pm prior to the service. A private interment  will be held at Crawford / Ray Memorial Gardens in Clyde.

In lieu of flowers,  memorials may be made to the family, 98 Inman Branch Road, Waynesville, NC 28786.

Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored to be caring for Dale and his family.
