Ronnie Lee Hannah, 65, of Asheville formerly of Waynesville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 2nd, 2021 from heart complications.

He was the son of the late Lee Roy Hannah and the late Elva Trantham Hannah. He is survived by his sister, Judy Hannah of Waynesville.

Ronnie was employed by Northern Tool in Asheville. He enjoyed walking at Carrier Park, going to off-shore powerboat races, car racing, spending time with family and friends, and grilling out – he was a great cook. Ronnie was a graduate of Tuscola High School and was on their 1974 State Championship football team where he was known as “Hanner.”

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, June 12th at Allen’s Creek Baptist Church in Waynesville. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 until 2:00 pm prior to the service. Rev. Scotty Patrick will be presiding.

Ronnie had made the decision to be an organ donor, and this selfless act has surely been a blessing to multitudes of people in need. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association at 10 Glenlake Pkwy NE South Tower, Suite 400 Atlanta, GA 30328.

Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored to be caring for the Hannah family.
