A Blessing to Everyone

Photo of Ronnie Sutton - 1948-2021

Waynesville – Ronnie Sutton, age 72, was carried home by the angels on Sunday, January 3, 2021.

Ronnie was born in Sevier County, Tennessee on May 14, 1948 to the late Raymond Sutton and the late Zenia Pearl Shultz Sutton. We give thanks for the joy and happiness that Ronnie brought to his family and friends all throughout his life. He was indeed blessed with a kind and gentle spirit. Listening to music and watching western movies were favorite things Ronnie enjoyed. Always giving  heartfelt hugs, was his way of showing his love for everyone. Those who knew Ronnie lost a shining light in their lives today but we will hold onto his precious memory forever.

Surviving are his sister, Anita Parks and her husband Gene Parks of Waynesville; his brother, Raymond Sutton and his wife, Lisa Sutton of Canton; several nieces and nephews; a special friend and caregiver, Sherry Moore;  friends, Amanda and April; and  also his special puppy, "Sadie".

A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Newfound Road in Canton. Pastor Chris Wilmoth will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Sutton’s memory to Haywood Hospice and Palliative Care at 43 Bowman Dr. Waynesville, NC 28785.

Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service is honored to be caring for the Sutton family.

Dear family, We are so sorry for your loss. Mr. Sutton was a precious man, as you all know. Our church loved to visit Maggie Valley nursing home to sing to the residents. Mr. Sutton was faithful and truly blessed our hearts with his sweet smile and happy tears as we sang his song. There was a joy and a longing you could see for a land of peace and love, one where we will meet again as his song says...Beulah Land. Sweet Beulah Land. God bless you all.
