Candler- Sandra Lee Moore Jordan, age 74, of Smokey Park Highway, a loving wife and a wonderful mother and grandmother, entered into the arms of the angels on Tuesday, February 16, 2016.

Mrs. Jordan was born January 28, 1942 in Haywood County to the late Vaughn O. Moore and the late Jeannie Kathleen Best Moore. Sandra had made her home in Buncombe County most of her life and retired from American Enka Corporation in 1985 with 22 years of dedicated service. Sandra was deeply loved by everyone blessed to know her. The wonderful memories of her going fishing and playing bingo will be treasured forever. Sandra enjoyed sports and had great fun being a member of a bowling league. She was a wonderful cook and homemaker and always made family and friends feel welcome to her home. Mrs. Jordan was a member of New Morgan Hill Baptist Church in Candler. Let us always remember that those we love do not ever go away, our beloved Sandra will forever be in our hearts each and every day.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sebia Black who passed away 2010.

Surviving are her loving and devoted husband, Thomas R. Jordan of Candler; her sons, Tommy Meadows of Leicester, Steve Meadows and his wife, Leanne Meadows of Candler and Timmy Meadows and his wife, Leanna Meadows of Canton; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; Georgia Woody of Asheville, who was loved just like a sister; Sandra’s beloved dachshunds, “Cindy” and “Mindy” and also many dear friends.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 20, 2016 in the chapel of Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Canton. The Reverend Betty Drake and Reverend Josh Evans will be officiating. Burial will be in Crawford / Ray Memorial Gardens in Clyde. The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 until 8:00pm Friday evening at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made in Mrs. Jordan’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 120 Executive Park, Building 1, Asheville, NC 28801 or flowers will be appreciated.
