Leicester- Throughout our lives we are blessed with special people that are examples for us to follow and who show us the importance of leading a Christian life , being a devoted wife , a loving mama and a wonderful mamaw. Stella Mae Turner Justice, age 83, was that type of beloved lady. On Thursday, May 26, 2022 she was carried home by the angels to her glorious place in heaven.

Stella was born January 27, 1939 in Buncombe County to the late Hyman Turner and the late Florence Surrett Turner. She was born into a large loving family and each and every day of her life has been a blessing. As we remember Stella we think of her giving and caring heart, her faithful devotion to her Lord and Saviour and her great love for her family. Stella Mae always made everyone feel welcome to the Justice home and she was greatly loved by the entire community.  An amazing cook, her table runneth over with delicious homemade dishes and  desserts that could never be matched! Stella was also a talented seamstress and everyone admired the lovely items that she made. She spent endless hours working hard in her garden and canning her homegrown vegetables for the winter season. Her home was always surrounded with beautiful flowers that she tended and it seemed as if Stella had a natural gift for growing plants and a variety of flowers. A woman of strong faith, she was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Weaverville. Stella Mae Turner Justice has been a guiding light to her family and to the many lives that she has touched. Her light will forever shine like the stars in the sky and she will never ever be forgotten.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Reverend Wilburn Robert Justice who passed away in 2015; an infant daughter, Mary Lee Justice; a grandson, Ricky Daniel Surrett and a brother, Junior Turner.
