On the cool mountain morning of Monday, October 2, 2023, Tony Eric Rogers also known as Big Country entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a long and courageous health battle. Tony was well known for his incredibly natural sense of humor. Even in the last week of his earthly life his great sense of humor kept the doctors, nurses and everyone who visited laughing with deep belly laughs. If you knew Tony you would understand the meaning.   And sharing the gospel giving us a secure peace knowing that Tony is in the presence of the Lord as the Bible states in 2 Corinthians 5:8 “We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

Tony was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish and especially go camping with his children and grandchildren. Spending many days and nights at his favorite place, Sunburst at the head of the Pigeon.

His grandparents, Horace and Flora Henderson Rogers and Walter and Cecil Gant Christopher all of Candler, NC. His sister, Vicky Rogers Morgan of Canton, NC, and his only precious son, Logan Montana Rogers who went on before him on April 11, 2023
